Nourishing Drinks

Beej-Bhumi, which translates into “seed and land”, is an Ayurvedic theory of immunity. To reduce toxins (ama), Ayurveda suggests herbal teas and milks that are decoctions of various herbs and spices.

 

Warm drinks stimulate the digestive fire and help our bodies digest food. Using simple spices like cinnamon, ginger and cardamom awaken the fire in our belly and stimulate appetite when taken before meals and after meals they keep our agni strong and our digestive fire burning bright.
